The people of Iran are a little similar to Brazilians. Both like football and both are very warm-blooded. Even more interesting is the fact that, until now, both have also had the highest rates of cosmetic surgery in the world.

The world’s first nasal plastic surgery took place in ancient Egypt, between 3,000 BC and 2,500 BC. This type of surgery has also been done in India since 800 BC. In America, the first nose job was completed in the year 1827.

And in Iran, the first plastic surgery took place fifty years ago, but with increasing interest in beautification amongst the younger generation, cosmetic surgery in Iran has become extremely widespread in the past twenty years.

On the basis of available statistics in Iran, nose surgery is ranked top, surgery to organs is in second place, and facelifts are ranked as the third most common surgeries in Iran.

Unfortunately, some of these people do not come to terms with their new faces after surgery and become even more depressed.

مردمِ ایران کمی شبیهِ برزیلی ها هستند. هر دو فوتبال را دوست دارند و هر دو بسیار خون گرم هستند. جالب تر این است که هر دو نیز تا به حال بالاترین میزانِ جرّاحیِ زیبایی را در جهان داشته اند.

اوّلین جرّاحیِ پلاستیکِ درمان بینی ۳۰۰۰تا ۲۵۰۰سال قبل از میلاد در مصر باستان انجام گرفت. این نوع جرّاحی از ۸۰۰ سال قبل از میلاد نیز در هند انجام شده است. در آمریکا، اوّلین جرّاحیِ بینی در سالِ ۱۸۲۷ به انجام رسید.

در ایران نیز نخستین جرّاحیِ پلاستیک پنجاه سال قبل صورت گرفت، امّا با افزایشِ علاقۀ نسلِ جوان به زیباتر شدن، در بیست سالِ گذشته جرّاحیِ زیبایی در ایران بسیار گسترش یافته است.

بر اساسِ آمارهایِ موجود در ایران، جرّاحیِ بینی در رتبۀ اوّل، جرّاحیِ اندام در رتبۀ دوّم و برطرف کردنِ چین و چروکِ صورت در رتبۀ سوّمِ جرّاحی‌های معمول در ایران قرار دارند.

متأسّفانه بعضی از این افراد پس از عملِ جرّاحی، چهرۀ جدیدِ خود را نمی پذیرند و بیشتر افسرده می شوند.
