The Cheapest Car

Different cars are manufactured all over the world. Some of them are very luxurious and expensive. Some are big and powerful, and some are small and cheap. After production, they are sent to different countries and get sold for different prices.

One of the cheapest cars is the Tata Nano. This car is very small, and is made by Indian car manufacturers, Tata Motors. Because of the large population and heavy traffic in Indian cities, this vehicle has many fans, and it seems that it may gradually take the place of the motorcycle amongst the people of India.

Tata Nano has no unnecessary components, less steel has been used in it than other cars, and Indian workers, with lower wages, are used to produce it. For these very reasons, its price is extremely low, and within the limit of 2,000 dollars.

The import and sale of the first generation of Tata Nanos is prohibited in America until the year 2034, but the second generation of Tata Nano may be sold in that country by the year 2015.

You may not know that relatively powerful and expensive cars, such as Jaguar, Land Rover and Range Rover are also made by the company Nano Motors.

خودروهایِ مختلفی در سراسرِ دنیا ساخته می شوند. بعضی از آنها بسیار لوکس و گران، بعضی بزرگ و پُرقدرت و بعضی کوچک و ارزان هستند. آنها پس از تولید به کشورهایِ مختلف فرستاده می شوند و به قیمت هایِ متفاوت فروخته می شوند.

یکی از ارزان ترین ماشین ها تاتا نانو است. این خودرو بسیارکوچک است و توسطِ شرکتِ خودرو سازیِ هندی تاتاموتورز ساخته می شود. این وسیلۀ نقلیّه به خاطرِ جمعیّت و ترافیکِ سنگین در شهرهایِ هند طرفدارانِ زیادی دارد و به نظر می رسد کم کم جایِ موتورسیکلت را در بینِ مردمِ هندوستان بگیرد.

تاتا نانو وسایلِ غیر ضروری ندارد، فولادِ به کار رفته در آن کمتر از ماشین هایِ دیگر است و از کارگرهایِ هندی با دستمزدِ کمتر برایِ تولید آن استفاده می شود. به همین علّت، قیمت آن بسیار پایین و در حدّ ۲۰۰۰ دلار است.

ورود و فروشِ نسلِ اوّلِ تاتا نانو تا سالِ ۲۰۳۴ در آمریکا ممنوع است، امّا شاید تا سالِ ۲۰۱۵ نسلِ دوّمِ تاتا نانو در این کشور نیز فروخته شود.

شاید ندانید که ماشین هایِ نسبتاً پر قدرت و گران قیمتِ جگوار، لندرور و رنجرور نیز توسطِ شرکت تاتا موتورز ساخته می شوند.

Arash: Very. It’s both big and powerful. It’s really good for long journeys.
Neda: It must be really expensive.

Arash: No, I still have it.
Neda: Why didn’t you sell it?
Arash: It’s small. It’s better for the London traffic.
