He is Reading the Newspaper

Translation

Today is Saturday and a day of rest. The weather is really nice. My family and I are at home. Now I am updating my weblog. My father is on the porch and he is reading the newspaper and drinking his coffee. My mother is in the kitchen and is making sandwiches for an afternoon picnic.

My sister and brother are in the garden and they are playing. There is a bird on the tree and it is singing. A cat is climbing up the wall. The bird gets scared and flees.

My father’s mobile rings. He picks up the handset. It’s from the hospital. The condition of one of the patients is bad and he has to go to the hospital. He gets dressed and leaves the house. Like always, we have to go to the picnic without him. Perhaps it’s not such a good thing that father is the most famous surgeon in town.

My father is a brain surgeon and most of the time he does important and difficult operations. My mother is a vet and she saves the lives of animals. I would like to become a vet like my mother and I would like to work in a zoo. There, I can cure various wild and tame animals.

امروز شنبه و روزِ استراحت است. هوا خیلی خوب است. من و خانواده ام در منزل هستیم. الان دارم وبلاگم را به روز می کنم. پدرم در ایوان است و دارد روزنامه می خواند و قهوه اش را می نوشد. مادرم در آشپزخانه است و دارد برایِ پیک نیک بعد از ظهر ساندویچ درست می کند.

خواهر و برادرم در باغ هستند و دارند بازی می کنند.  یک پرنده رویِ درخت است و دارد آواز می خواند. یک گربه دارد از دیوار بالا می رود. پرنده می ترسد و فرار می کند.

موبایلِ پدرم زنگ می زند. گوشی را بر می دارد. از بیمارستان است. حالِ یکی از بیماران بد است و باید به بیمارستان برود. لباسش را می پوشد و از خانه خارج می شود. مثلِ همیشه باید بدونِ او به پیک نیک برویم. شاید خیلی خوب نباشد که پدرِ آدم معروف ترین جرّاح شهر باشد.

 پدرم جرّاحِ مغز است و بیشترِ وقت ها او عمل هایِ مهم و سخت را انجام می دهد. مادرم دام پزشک است و جان حیوانات را نجات می دهد. من می خواهم مانند مادرم دام پزشک بشوم و دوست دارم در باغِ وحش کار کنم. در آنجا می توانم انواعِ حیواناتِ وحشی و اهلی را درمان کنم.

Maryam: Why don’t you drink tea?.
Nik: I only drink tea for breakfast.
Maryam: Where’s your father?
Nik: He’s in the room. He’s watching television.
